Designed
for the 21st century, this new two-story office building utilizes brick, stucco,
glass, and steel to achieve the owner's request for an architecturally uncomplicated
structure with maximum interior visual interest. Visual impact begins with a curved
stairway in the lobby that ascends to the client's upstairs location. Internally,
the use of stone, wood, and steel imparts a high-tech contemporary environment
of simple elegance. The building received the 2001 ASID award for Interior Design
of a Small Office Building.
